The XC community is concerned about the recent unexplained disappearance of ski equipment. Extra security precautions around the Shelter are planned and some have been put in place.

Ultimately, everyone is responsible for their own equipment, but here are some simple precautions that you can consider:
• Make sure that ALL of your equipment and belongings are VISIBLY labelled.
• When leaving your skis on the racks outside, put them in your ski bag and tie or chain the bag to the rack.
• Pack away equipment that you aren’t using.
• When packing up at the end of the day, check that you have not collected someone else’s equipment accidentally – the most common reason for equipment going missing.
• And double-check that you have all your own belongings at the end of the day.
